I'm new with Krita and I'm reading through some tutorials from the Krita Manual at the moment.
There's something that confuses me though. I always wonder how to find the things they bracket in <menuchoice> </menuchoice> For example I want to try out some "Dulling", so I'd need to find the menu choice Dulling, but can't find the option even though I read https://userbase.kde.org/Krita/Manual/B ... nd_Dulling. There it is written that I can find the option under <menuchoice>Smudge Rate</menuchoice>, but how am I supposed to find Smudge Rate? I saw the picture in the manual and I suppose I need to go to the options for the brushes, but I can't even find that. Generally the option/menu choice itself is always written in the tutorial, but often not the path, which leads to the menu choice. I'm sorry if it's a stupid question, but there are so many windows and options in Krita I'm afraid that I'll mess my settings up, if I randomly click through them. Can someone give me a step by step guidance on what exactly to click to get to <menuchoice> Dulling </menuchoice>? |

First off, that' s the old manual, we've moved here: https://docs.krita.org/Color_Smudge
Secondly, it's worth it to check the introduction to brushes first: https://docs.krita.org/Loading_and_Saving_Brushes , which explains everything about the brushes system. Another good read is the basic concepts page, which amongst others has brush engines and where to find the brush setting editor mentioned: https://docs.krita.org/Basic_Concepts#Brush_Engines , but in general that page is a good overview of Krita's functionality. |

sometimes (but not always) search engines can help to find screenshot or youtube video for Krita:
