Change Default File>Open

Mon Apr 04, 2016 7:40 pm
I want to be able to change the folder it opens when I open an existing file. It currently takes me to the default Libraries\Pictures but I want something that's like 4 folders away. It'd make me more efficient, and thus more sane. Anyone got a clue? I couldn't find anything by searching.

What version of Krita are you on? When I open up Krita on the latest build, it opens up to the last location that I opened a file. I know a lot of work was done on the file dialog recently, so it might be fixed with the next version.

If you can't wait for 3.0 to have a stable release for this fix, there is an Alpha build coming out very soon you could probably use.

I'm downloading the newest stable version now. I never even thought about it because most softwares auto-update. I hope this gets it! Thanks :D

The fix might not be in the latest stable build for Krita 2.9. You might have to wait until we do a Alpha release for Krita 3.0 for that. The stable version of 3.0 is coming out in about a month, you might want to wait for that if you are worried about stability.
