((Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, I can't find the help section.))
So I kind of have pen pressure problems and kind of don't. It's a bit hard to explain... The pen pressure is definitely there and working, but despite trying my best to learn how to use that curve thing in the configure tablet settings, I can't seem to find the right "position" so that my tablet works how I like? I did read this http://www.davidrevoy.com/article182/ca ... e-on-krita and it helped me kinda learn how to use the curve, but my understanding of it is still pretty bad. Doesn't help that I'm completely new to Krita. I will do my best to explain the issue... Basically, when I lightly press on my tablet, nothing happens. If I apply a little more pressure, I can start to get a very thin line, and then the pressure I add from there seems to go up at an okay rate (though sometimes TOO fast). I can not for the life of me get it to where my light touches will do anything. And if they do, it's very "skippy," making holes/spaces in the strokes if I go a certain way or something. It's not an insane amount of pressure I have to put on, but it's more than I like, especially since I've been having wrist problems lately. But I could maybe deal with that if it weren't for another issue. My stokes feel too...tight? It's not loose enough. I need to be able to be very very loose with my lines and strokes in order to not go crazy while drawing, and so far Krita feels like it's restricting me JUST enough to agitate me. And again, this is resulting in skips/holes in the lines. Strokes I try to put down just plain won't show up and I have to go over it again, harder. So IDK it's weird. Pen pressure is there, but not for the lighter touches. I know some people have issues with their tablets being way too sensitive, like the pen will keep drawing when you're not even pressing, which my tablet does sometimes do when I use Paint Tool Sai. This is almost the opposite of that, but adjusting the curve just doesn't seem to do enough. I just wanna be able to barely touch the tablet and see strokes happen, just like if I lightly touched a pencil to paper. And for it to loosen up. Sorry if none of this makes sense, I tried. ^^; (curse my lack of curve knowledge) Oh and where do I adjust the "hardness" of brushes? |
