Desperately needing help with this, when I go to open a new file, the screen with the create button is so big that the button itself is below the task bar, and I can't get it to shrink down or move up so i can click create. I also lost my layers docker when i accidentally went into canvas only mode, and now the layers option is greyed out under the dockers selection menu. Any way to fix this?

There is a bug in Krita 2.9 that is creating this issue. It has to do with what is saved to the clipboard. One solution is to add something to your clipboard that is much smaller.

This is fixed in Krita 3.0 (currently in beta). You could grab that and use it instead. Here is where to grab it.
