two problems with Krita

Tue May 10, 2016 11:36 am
Hi,

I have two problems with Krita 2.9. 11 git 1c398ed

First problem: When I choose a brush, and want to set the brush on the notepad (Scratchpad), Krita crashes immediately. And I have to start Krita new.
With Win7 Prof.
Here the report: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: krita.exe
Application Version: 0.0.0.0
Application Timestamp: 56b088dd
Fault Module Name: kritaimage.dll
Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0
Error module timestamp: 56b09197
Exception code: c0000005
Except offset: 0000000000100c20
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
Locale ID: 1031
Additional Information 1: b46c
Additional Information 2: b46c5e68ecfc968d318c55f0103ba2e0
Additional Information 3: 8ee1
Additional Information 4: 8ee1ea4cb76a61c1218fd6707f7954c3

My second problem: I can not open two different files at the same time. If no file is open, there are Tile and Cascade in the menu, but when I open a file, these two are missing. So that I can not open two or more different files at the same time.

Thank you very much for your help and support!

For your first problem: is that with the mouse or tablet, and if tablet, which brand? Does it matter which brush you are using? You could also check the 3.0 beta for that problem.

For your second problem, go to settings/configure krita and select subwindow mode instead of tabs.

You can get the beta, it's free :-). The problem with the scratchpad probably is an incompatibility with your tablet. We don't have a Ugee to test with, so whether it works on not is pretty random. We only have hardware that manufacturers donated to us, which means Wacom, Huion and Yiynova. All other brands are unsupported until the manufacturer (or a user) provides us with test hardware.
