Hello!
I've started using Krita recently and i have a tiny bit of an issue which i've had in photoshop as well. I can't seem to find a way to increase the slider for brush selection, and i feel like it's too small; when i drag my pen on the slider it's kind of hard to get sub 5 pixel accuracy, and even if it was easy my selection changes as i lift my pen from the tablet, since the tablet detects the pen to an extent as you lift it ~1cm above the surface, so the input gets changed. Is there a way to increase the size of the UI sliders, like the brush size selector? I combed through the elements of toolbar customization, but i couldn't find anything. It would probably be helpful if all toolbar customization related elements like "expanding spacer" were at the top, like the "separator". |

If you have one hand in the keyboard, you could try pressing SHIFT while dragging the slider to gain a bit of precision.
Problem is those who don't use the keyboard "actively", it's actually a delicate UX issue. Perhaps the SHIFT function should be customizable to allow mapping it to the mouse buttons or other keys. So for instance, we could drag with MMB or RMB (mapped to the stylus buttons) to have more precision. But it would be also nice to have a "Narrowing" and/or "Precision" options for the sliders, which could actually be new "dropdown" sliders (as "flow" is by default), so for instance, for the brush size we could have: Min size (in pixels) Max size Precision (multiplier for the "SHIFT" function) Also, it would be nice to have the precision combo key to work with the Drag Size shortcut (shift+LMB was it by default I think) It would be nice to have a customizable option at the Canvas input options. Regards. |

If you need pixel perfect sizes, you can right-click on any slider to manually type/input a number on your tablet. Scrubbing a slider isn't designed to be exact, so there are a lot of values that are impossible to get if you rely on sliding (like 15.4 px). The right-click change is designed for that type of precision.

FWIW, I wouldn't mind if you could drag downwards or upwards from a slider and get a wider slider (it'd look like a trapezoid) where you could reach more precise values.

My optimal solution would be to have the size slider(s) as their own docker elements perhaps, so you could for example put a thin size slider on the bottom of your screen that covers most of the screen horizontally, allowing you to have fine precision if you are using a pen. |

Vertical drag sounds good, and not only for sliders, the hotkey to drag and resize (shift+lmb) could benefit of that too, as currently vertical drag does nothing!

That would be nice for tablet users indeed. |

It would also be nice to have a "resizeable slider" element in the UI customization, which works much like the "separator", just allows you to resize the slider before it. |

It sounds like we either need a custom docker where you can put your own sliders and widgets, or maybe have a setting in Settings > Configure Krita that allows you to change how the sliders look or function. I could see this be useful for tablet people.
