The brushes are messed up for me as I accidentally deleted some of them.
I wanted a fresh default Krita back again so I uninstalled it, redownloaded 2.9, and installed it. However, when I reinstalled it, the brushes were still missing. Is there a way to reinstall Krita fresh? |

Reinstalling Krita does not change your settings. Uninstalling Krita does not remove your settings. This common Windows user reflex of "uninstall, reinstall, that should fix the problem" is wrong. "Deleted" brushes are actually tagged as deleted, not removed from disk, because a normal user cannot remove items from the Program Files directory. What you need to do is edit, change or remove your settings: they are in %APPDATA%\Roaming\krita.
Also, Krita 3.0 is out, you might want to give that a try. |

Thanks for your help, I fixed it by deleting the file. Would I need to uninstall 2.9 and install 3.0 or just continue and install 3.0 without uninstalling 2.9? |
