Hi,
I have been using Krita 2.8 for a while and finally decided to update to 3.0. However, when first opening the program after the update, my cursor lagged whenever I completed a brush stroke. The lag is pretty minimal, but it gets really annoying when doing multiple quick strokes. The lag happened when I was using a tablet and when I was using a mouse. Restarting the program didn't help. I also tried turning the stabilizer to 'No Smoothing,' but that didn't help either. I uninstalled 3.0 and downloaded 2.9 and there is no lag. I really want to try out the animation in 3.0, though, so do you guys know how to fix the problem? Thanks! |

Try turning off the Instant Preview feature in View menu and see if it helps.

Try increasing a bit the spacing of the brush in the brush settings.
Also ,if you use Mac OSX... you should read this: "Krita on OSX will be fully supported with version 3.1. Krita 3.0 for OSX is still missing Instant Preview and High Quality Canvas scaling. There are also some issues with rendering the image — these issues follow from Apple’s decision to drop support for the OpenGL 3.0 compatibility profile in their display drivers. We are working to reimplement these features using OpenGL 3.0 Core profile. For now, we recommend disabling OpenGL when using Krita on OSX for production work. Krita for OSX is tested on 10.9 and 10.11 since we do not have access to other versions of OSX." |

Instant Preview was the problem. I thought it was off because I hadn't opened a new document yet ^^"
Thanks so much! |
