I have a hard time shading when I turn alpha lock on. I want to use it so I don't color out of my line art but when I use it, the colors are uncoordinated/not what i want with the the main color that i already fill in (using the outline selection tool and than fill it in with color). When I disable alpha lock, coloring goes back to normal, I can shade or lighten correctly but with alpha lock, when applying another layer of color in the same layer, it just mismatch even though I use the same shade( just a tad darker)

Also make sure your first color is 100% opaque, if it has some transparency on it, any other color you put on top will keep the transparency wile on alpha lock. Thus make sure that the fill tool don't have any opacity less than "1.00" (tip: it follows the brush settings for opacity)

This morning the issue seems to have disappear. with alpha lock on, I can shade the same as with alpha lock off. I hope this issue don't come back later on as I use Krita. Sorry for the trouble and thank you for replying.
