I need some quick help because my deadline is tomorrow morning. I just have a few hours left.

So I've created some animation on Krita but wanted to export the animation of only one layer. But for some reason, even if I export to PNG, it won't render the alpha. I don't know what to do here.

Here's a screenshot.

Try to export a normal png first. It should give you an option to preserve alpha. Once you do that try to export the animation. I think the configuration is shared

Thanks! It works now. Still, it would be pretty great if there was the same transparency setting for exporting the animation...

I hope to merge the export to animated file formats work I did this week, and that makes it possible to set the PNG export options for the frames separately.
