Hi guys.
I am drawing for the "Submissions for the 2016 Krita Artbook" (holding my thumbs ![]() When ever I open the working file, the Krita Image File (kra) the Krita program works a few second and then I see that the program goes to a "Krita (Not Responding)" status. ![]() And when clicking the X button in the right top corner to close the program I get this "End process" option and when choosing that the program closes down. ![]() If I try to open the Image file, I get a "krita.exe has stopped working" message box with a "Close Program" button ![]() After clicking that button this "Application Error" message box shows up and clicking the "OK" button the program shuts down. ![]() I started to have this problem after drawing a while on my image, it some times worked and other times did not. I upgraded Krita from version 3.0.1 to 3.0.1.1 but with no luck on my side. I have increased the ram usage that Krita can take but no luck for me there. I am drawing on a Wacom Intuos4 PTK-640 I am have a laptop with these specs: Operating System Windows 10 Home 64-bit CPU Intel Core i7 6700HQ @ 2.60GHz Skylake 14nm Technology RAM 16,0GB Graphics Generic PnP Monitor (1920x1080@60Hz) Intel HD Graphics 530 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M ForceWare version: 373.06 SLI Disabled Storage 476GB SAMSUNG MZNLN512HCJH-000L2 (SSD) Anyone have any idea on what could be the problem and is there a solution to it, I hope I do not have to start over on my drawing ![]() |

Eeeek... Can you share the file with me (vurian@gmail.com) so I can see whether I can load it, and if not, repair it?

For any one that is wondering, boudewijn gave me the suggestion, after looking at my file, to install the latest "Join the Bleeding Edge!" build, version 3.0.1.90 and it seems to be working now.
The support force is strong in this one *hats of to boudewijn* |

Update.
I still have the same problem. I manage to draw for an hour or so last night everything worked ok. Today I have had the same problem and stubbornly tried to open the document over and over again, trying some different tricks. I manage to open the document using "Open Existing Document as Untitled Document..." and it worked, I removed one layer I had a imported photo on and then the program froze and I had to force close it. I then tried to create a new working document, then open my problem document using "Open Existing Document as Untitled Document..." and it worked and now I could remove the layers with imported photos. I just had to try, so I closed Krita and now it still continues to give me the same problem and the only way i can open my document and continue to draw is to start Krita, create a new document, then open my old document , normal "open" works. I also just tried to copy my layers I have been drawing on to a new document, but I get the same problem. Hope that this narrows it down for the dev team. |

"Open Document as Untitled" -- that cannot make any difference, logically. How are you importing your photo's? Using file layers or using the import option from the layer menu?

The normal "open" also work, but only if I have created a new document before, I can close that new document after I opened the normal document I work on.
I opened a photo in Kirta, marked what I wanted from that, copied it and pasted it in to my drawing document. |

Hi , I am having the same problem. I have Krita 3.1.2 on Surface Pro 4 i7 16gb ram
The file will open after several tries but mostly Krita just hangs or crashes. everything was drawn in Krita. There is one imported refrence image. It does have kind of a lot of layers. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1_24a ... sp=sharing |
