I need help with the bucket fill tool it doesn't seem to be working properly.
I'm trying to trace and colour in a piece of artwork i had originally done on paper. (because i can't use a mouse to draw) I took a picture of it with my phone and transferred it to my computer for tracing and colouring with krita. After tracing quite a bit of it i decided to test out the bucket on an enclosed area to colour it in but it ended up coating the entire picture in the same colour no matter the placement. I don't know whether it's doing this because the picture came from my phone since MS paint did the same thing. ![]() Maybe it's happening because photos lack the default layer for drawing? Regardless I was hoping that krita, unlike MS paint would have more options that would enable to me to fix this filling issue. It's hard to tell what any of the software means since i only got started not long ago. Any help is appreciated, thank you. ![]() |

That's probably because the areas are not fully closed, but have gaps. You can try to use colorize interactive instead, it's in the g'mic filter dialog. Here's a tutorial: http://www.davidrevoy.com/article240/gm ... lorization

i can't seem to download that. There's no files available for it apparently.
If i were to get this would it work with transferred images from my phone and y'know, not coat the entire picture. Since i think that's what the problem is here... Also i'm fairly certain there are no gaps in the area i was trying to fill i checked it recently and the line is perfectly enclosed. |

No need to download anything. Krita already includes G'MIC filters. There is a video tutorial by David Revoy:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YigbVY9s6gU |
