I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I keep getting this error

Is it because it's not the stable version because I have ffmpeg

I'm having problems exporting my animations into a GIF or MPEG4s. It keeps messaging with internal errors. Am I missing some extension on my Surface Pro 3 or something to make it work?
I'm also not seeing an option to render, just exports, otherwise I can only see my animation in the program.

For test, could you try just enter "frame.gif" not "../Desktop/frame.gif"...I assume you used the folder button, but just enter "frame.gif"(without "") and see if that makes the export work.

It seems the export fails when you try to specify the destination using the folder button. (I already reported it... https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371520 )

Well, there could be other issues as well, but to troubleshoot, I think I need to look into the log file(log_encode.log).
