Issues with XP-Pen Star 03 tablet

Fri Nov 11, 2016 7:08 pm
Hey all! I just received my new tablet, and was super excited to use it with Krita. After fixing the resolution, I have run into a rather annoying problem. Krita won't track the movement of my tablet's pen on the canvas unless I am drawing. Once I move it over to the UI, it works just fine.

I've uninstalled and re-installed, with no change.
I've checked in other programs and the tablet is working fine.
Drivers are up to date.
I've fixed the resolution many times, with WinTab and Qt, and setting it manually.
Tablet is set to absolute instead of relative.
Working on Windows 10.

I'm not the most tech savvy, but any help at all is appreciated! =)

Sounds like https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367618 -- you could try to make a tablet log with the latest beta, following the faq: https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#What_if ... y_Krita.3F to see if the wintab drivers are found at all. Without access to actual hardware, we cannot debug issues with tablets other than Wacom, Huion and Yiynova.

Thanks for the reply! The bug does sound the same as what I'm experiencing. I went ahead and did as the FAQ suggested to get a bug log, but not sure exactly what I should be looking for.

Here's a link to the DebugLog.

Thanks for your help! I hope I can get back to Krita soon!

EDIT: I just ran Krita as an Admin, and it got rid of the bug, but there's no pressure sensitivity now.
