I am currently testing a pipeline for my animated short. I use Toon Boom Harmony for the pencil animation, and I would like to use Krita for the painting part, because the painting tools in Krita are far superior.

After finshing the painting I would like to export everything from Krita in EXR for compositing (since I use 32-bit). When I tried that, I found that the animation export automatically flattens everything, so I get an already composited version of the animation instead of separate layers.

Is there a way to export the EXR animation frames in separate layers similar to what happens when we export a single image??

I am using Krita on Windows 7.

I also would like to know this. Any updates since 2016?
