Exporting save messes with filename

I have a problem with exporting PNG files. Every time I export a file, for some reason there is always extra dot in the file name eg. "painting.png" turns into "painting..png" (as in PNG file named "painting.")
This is only when exporting to PNG. JPEG export works fine.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

That sounds like a bug we fixed in 3.0.1.1 -- are you sure you're using the latest version?
