Hi,
I have some issues with color setting, it's not directly connected with Krita but still, it's confusing and annoying. For most of the time I wasn't bothered by color magament but recently I doscovered some weird thing... I work on Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon with Krita and in this "ecosystem" my paintings looks fine, blacks are rich, color are vibrant and nicely saturated(as intended but rather not so natural). There are some color changes when I look on different angles but nothing disturbing. Lately I switched to my Win7(dual boot) to mess a little bit with PS and well... it seems that most of my paintings looks like **** - colors are washed, blacks are rather grey and I can clearly see color gradation from "black" to grey while on linux it was almost black. I dont' really know what is going on, it looks something like higher gamma - in Mint(nvidia settings) gamma value is 1,00(clearly not calibrated), so in Windows it's something like 2.2? I've tried to tweak gamma on Mint but with value 2,2 whole desktop looks very bad. In Krita I use sRGB built or srgb elle v2(default) but it's irrelevant to whole system settings. My monitor is not calibrated, I see no point as it's cheap consumer grade AMVA+ iiyama - I dont' do anything for printing so for now I can live with this display. Anyway, for now I'm very confused and don't know how my paintings really looks or should look. Is there anything I can tweak, some system settings, nvidia settings or monitor settings to solve this problem? |
