Krita is made with Qt right? I like to learn that a bit and wondering if some devs can point me to very nice tuts, for someone who is graphically focused, particularly, I can design UI elements in Illustrator or Photoshop but have no clue how to get it into Qt Creator.
Sorry for posting it here, there is no off-topic/general subforum ![]() |

Actually, the Qt documentation itself offers some very good starting points: http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtexamplesandtutorials.html . Disregard anything that's about QML or QtQuick, though!

Hi Boudewijn,
I have read a lot of pages on their doc and getting started topics, and I think I understand that Qt Designer or Creator is a drag and drop system. I also think that you mentioned to disregard Quick, is because they are complete snippets that might add extra code that I don't necessarily need and/or less control for the programmer, am I right? Now the question is, I have a UI design in mind, which I can simply make in a vector program. But how do I get that design into Qt, or am I not supposed to get them in and instead should reproduce them with Qt Designer? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask because it's generally unrelated to Krita, but building apps and plugins has always fascinated me, so maybe at some point I can help Krita with small things (when all this learning goes well of course). ![]() |
