Has anybody had the problem of installing on Win 8.1 (successfully) but Windows closes the prog with an unspecified error.
Have tried multiple times including restarts and shutdowns but Krita behaves same way every time.

Does that still happen if you disable opengl in the Settings dialog? If not, what is your computer's exact brand, model, type and what is the version of your display driver?

OpenGL is not enabled.
PC is an Acer E15
Celeron Processor N2840
Intel HD Graphics Version 10.18.10.3574
Windows 8.1

Hi. Revision to my response on OpenGL.
Checked again and OpenGL was enabled. Have disabled it and Krita now appears to be working OK.
