Erm... Who is selling an SP4 with Krita pre-installed, but not the drivers? Actually, I'd really like to know where people can buy an SP4 with Krita
![]() As for getting support for the n-trig pen: check https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Tablet_ ... urface_Pro . It can take a bit of futzing since no two people seem to agree on how to properly install the drivers exactly. |

I bought Surface Pro 4 in Norway, Expert.no store. It's very strange that Krita creators don't care about this issue, so what is the purpose of such program if it is useless? Yes, i saw bunch of sollutions on the net, neather is working for me. I see that there's different versions of Krita and i can't find out which one is mine. |

a) It is very strange that you can buy an SP4 with krita pre-installed but not the drivers pre-installed. Your supplier should have sold you a complete and working solution; go back to your "expert" and tell him to make it work.
b) What do you mean by saying that we don't care? No, krita is not useless on the Surface Pro, I use it on mine, our webmaster uses it on his; we got it to work without too much futzing, so you can, too. c) The purpose of Krita is to draw and paint. Hundreds of thousands of people use it for that, so it is "very strange" that you say that is useless. |

Thank you for the answer. I said that Krita is useless cuz of countless questions on many forums, people just can't get the pressure gesture working. I'm very interested in Krita and i like it very much. That's why i'm still on it and i want to make it work. So can you give me the straight answer what to do? Step by step? |

I would suggest that you try installing GIMP and see if the pressure control works in GIMP with some simple painting activities. I say GIMP because GIMP is free and is easy to install and use and will be an independent application.
If you can't get it to work in GIMP, that would suggest it's a pen/pressure driver problem or a Windows OS problem or maybe a hardware problem. If pressure sensitivity works in GIMP, then you can start to consider that Krita might have a problem. However, many people do use Krita with no problem. I use Krita (and GIMP) on Windows 10 and Linux Mint with two different Wacom tablets - no problems. |

There is no pressure sensitivity in Gimp. But i have it in ArtRage, Graphiter and Leonardo. |

That simply means that the wintab drivers for the n-trig pen aren't correctly installed, but that's no news. The applications you mention have direct support for the Windows Ink api, and which Krita doesn't have and is unlikely to get until someone steps up, finds and decodes the api and implements support.
