Canvas Input stops working (Mac)

Thu Jan 19, 2017 12:01 am
So my problem is that the shortcuts found in the Canvas Input Settings just stop working after a couple of minutes, which involves things like panning the canvas, rotating it and zooming in and out. My workaround for this at the moment is the disabling the Canvas Input shortcuts and using the ones in Keyboard Shortcuts. I can rotate and zoom, but I cannot work out how to assign a shortcut in Keyboard Shortcuts to panning. Is there anyway I can do this, maybe by manually editing the configuration files?

Thanks,
Tristan

Hm, that sounds like a really weird bug. I don't remember having heard of it before, and I haven't seen it myself yet. What type of mac do you have and which version of OSX/MacOS?

Hi boudewijn,

I'm on a MacBook Air running El Capitan (Version 10.11.2) and the latest version of Krita.

There are a couple of users on Reddit that also seem to have the same problem as me (Link), but other than that I haven't found anything else related to it.

Thanks for the quick reply,
Tristan

That's happened to me too, but I still don't know a consistent way to reproduce it, and I may have mentioned it briefly in IRC. I guess you'll just have to be drawing with it long enough, and then when you try to use the zoom keyboard shortcuts, it will happen eventually.
