Now I know that the Surface pros are kinda a new thing to Krita so things tend to get a little messed up. Still, I find it a bit annoying that the pressure sensitivity doesn't work as it should in the rightful "bit" version...64. In the 64-bit Krita, there is no pressure sensitivity at all. Everything works well except for that. Just to see what exactly was going on, I downloaded the 32-bit version...I know it is not recommended, but when I opened it and started drawing, the pressure sensitivity worked! But of course a 32-bit on a 64-bit processor doesn't end well.
So, now I am stuck not being able to use Krita. The 64-bit does't have pressure sensitivity and the 32-bit stops working after two minutes (obviously). I find it a bit confusing how the 32-bit works perfectly and the proper 64-bit doesn't. I have downloaded all the drivers recommended on the Krita page for Surface pros, updated, restarted, deleted and re-downloaded my WinTabs, and tried adjusting the sensitivity in Krita's settings and my tablet's. Though in the end, nothing helps. Pressure works in all the other apps and features on my tablet, just not Krita. I just need...help. ![]() |

Not really. I have had a Surface Pro 3 for quite some time, and it works fine. Our webmaster and UX designer has a Surface Pro 4, and it works fine. I haven't even had Windows 10 updates breaking pressure sensitivity. "The 64-bit does't have pressure sensitivity and the 32-bit stops working after two minutes (obviously)." And we're using the 64 bits version. And there is no reason the 32 bits version should stop after a few minutes: there is nothing obvious about that. With the right drivers installed, both versions should work fine; if they don't something else is going on. Blame Microsoft: they have created this mess, then exacerbated the situation by adding a new pen API and very succesfully hiding all documentation for it. We'd like to support the Windows 10 Ink API directly, but that takes time, and time takes money, and nobody has stepped up to either do it, or sponsor it. |

Then, what drivers should I install? I installed the both of the recommended ones on Krita's website a few days ago, restarted, uninstalled the 32-bit and installed the 64-bit, restarted, and it didn't change anything. Do you think I'm missing some drivers and need to go find them?
I didn't download the MSVC 2010, though, and I'm gonna try that now... |

@recyclebin
Try installing wintab drivers for Surface pro 4. I did that and it worked for me after that. |
