Krita and Forum

Tue Jan 24, 2017 12:55 pm
Hello,

I have just downloaded and installed krita under kubuntu.

At this stage, I am just trying to find the best forums for discussion and solving possible problems when using this programme.

Is this forum the best for krita? Are there others around that are also worth joining?

Out of interest, how similar is krita to gimp? Does it work in the same way? Would gimp experience help when exploring krita.?

Best wishes

Manjaro (KDE) 17.1.7, or,
Kubuntu 16.04.4

Yes, this is the right forum. You don't need to go looking for other places, because exactly the same people watch the krita reddit, twitter and so on.

Krita is also a raster graphics application, like gimp, some tools are similar, the interface is different, and Krita focuses on image creation, not image manipulation.

If you know gimp, you might have to unlearn some things.

Slightly related question. How about put the link to the forum in site footer? Just to make it a bit easier to find.
