Hi,
I'm new to krita and trying to make a custom pixel brush. Unfortunately I'm having a bit of trouble understanding some of the parameters of the brush that can be tweaked. I have successfully created my preset and predefined shape. What I am now trying to do is make it randomly rotate (jitter) between -5 degrees and +5 degrees. My first point of confusion is this: if I tick the rotation box in the settings and set the strength to 0.00 (sensor is pressure), it flips my brush tip upside down. Why is this, when the strength is supposed to be zero? Next, if I leave the strength at 0, tick the fuzzy dab sensor and untick the pressure sensitivity, the brush tip rotates randomly. Why does this happen, even though the strength is 0? Finally, if I change the strength back to 1.00, leave fuzzy dab ticked and set the graph thing on the right (sorry, I'm not sure what it is called) to be a horizontal line at 0 degrees, my brush tip is still flipped upside down, even though it should only be rotated by 0 degrees aka not rotated. Why is this? This also happens if I set the sensor to pressure and have a horizontal line at 0 degrees on the graph. One other issue: does the "enable pen settings" tick box refer to a pen meaning a physical tablet pen? If so, why does unticking it disable all of the sensors, including fuzzy dab which has nothing to do with the tablet pen? And if I untick this box in the brush rotation settings, what does the strength number do? It isn't greyed out, so I assume it is supposed to do something. I just can't work out what it is ![]() Any help would be appreciated ![]() Thanks, Jeremy |
