Backwards image

Tue Jan 31, 2017 6:15 pm
Somehow I flipped my entire image horizontally and I cant figure out how to properly flip it back. I was attempting to type some text and I believe I pressed shift then m and everything flipped horizontally on me. When I select image, flip horizontally it works but then when I put in a new text box the new text is backwards while the rest is proper. How do I get everything back to facing the right way permanently?

It looks like you did accidentally two actions:

The first one was likely simply "mirroring" the view with the key "m", this doesn't affect the picture itself, only the view, pressing the "m" key again should bring it back to normal. but...

The second action you did was to actually flip the image (for real), with the menu (image/mirror image horizontally). And thus some letters (previous to this action got flipped too).

Check the layers you have, see which ones are flipped and the turn them back with the same second action you did. Now if you already drawing and working on the flipped image, you may want to undo those and then turn the image.

Wow. That turned out to be a ridiculously simple fix. Thank you so much! Its my first day using this and the shortcuts are a little confusing when you press them by accident. Can't believe all I needed to do was press m lol. Thanks for being so quick to respond. Back to work for me :)

No problem, I'm glad it work out, by the way, if you find yourself accidentally pushing some keys you can always change or deactivate the problematic shortcuts in Settings>Configure Krita>Krita Shortcuts. :)
