How do I load/make a selection from a given layer's transparency? As in PS, where you ctrl + left click a layer, you get a corresponding selection from that layer's transparency.

in the layer docker, right-click on the layer you want and from the context menu, choose "select opaque". Should be right at the bottom of the list.
