Can't upload jpeg file anywhere

Tue Feb 07, 2017 4:00 am
So, I just started using this program and was really excited. I spent a few hours and finished a drawing. However, I can't find a single way to get the picture from my files to any website, be it Deviantart or a photo uploading site. The file for the picture is saved as "file:///C:/Users/Cassie/Pictures/Krita/Kaiju%202.jpeg" and whenever I try to upload it, it either just work or says it's a bad gateway. So it's just stuck on my computer, unable to be uploaded anywhere and I have no idea how to fix this. Thanks for any help!

Maybe try to get rid of the % in the filename?

That sadly didn't work. How do people usually get their krita art into a URL you can use?

sounds like your browser is acting up. it should give you a button to click that opens a file browser where you navigate to the folder your jpeg file is in.

Some sites allow you to drag and drop them from Windows Explorer right onto the website. One example is http://imgur.com/ where all you have to do is click on "new post" on the top left and drag and drop the file over into the middle of the browser window.

Hope that helps!

That did work, though I had to jump through extra hoops to manage it, so thank you! Is it normal it's not uploaded to imgur in the normal quality? I drew it in whatever the preset one is for over 2000, but it went down to 1000 pixels. It still looks fine so it's not the end of the world, but of course I'd prefer if it retained the quality when I uploaded it
