I just installed Krita on my Mac, version 10.11.6 (El Capitan).
I started programming the buttons on my Wacom tablet to different shortcuts, but I cannot find any shortcut for the Rotate View Tool. I rely on this shortcut a lot when using Photoshop because it makes it much easier to draw strokes from different angles on the canvas. Is this shortcut available on Krita? Another thing I'm having trouble figuring out is how to open a sub-window. I looked for info but the tutorials I found don't work for the newer version of Krita. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLNlcqbQTtY Also, I noticed that the toolbar appears to be missing some icons, the eraser being one of them. I wish I could attach an image to show you but I don't see that option. Maybe you're already aware of this issue though. Do you know how it can be fixed? Thank you! |

Hi
The keyboard numbers (not keypad) are used to rotate the canvas 4 - rotate left in 15 deg increments 6 - rotate right in 15 deg increments 5 - go back to zero |

As far as missing tools
Look at Settings->Configure Tool Bars Select the 'BrushesAndStuff' toolbar The eraser tool can be brought in by grabbing it on the left (called "Set Eraser Mode") and dropping it on the right On mine it also seems to be a subset of "Painter's Tools" which may include your other "missing" stuff The eraser has a shortcut toggle 'E' so you don't really need it in the toolbar. |

Thank you for the tips. I wasn't aware that I could rotate in increments by pressing those numbers on the keyboard. I actually did a little more research and this time I found another way to rotate the view (freely, no increments). This shortcut is Shift+Space+Drag I went to Settings->Configure Toolbars, selected the 'BrushesAndStuff' toolbar and then pressed 'OK'. However, nothing seems different about the toolbar. There are 4 spaces on the toolbar that look empty but maybe nothing is missing and that's how it's supposed to look. Now I just need to figure out how to open a sub-window on the side ![]() |
