Hello!!
I'm quite new to krita, but it seems the only issue I'm having trouble with are my pen buttons not working at all for some reason? Preferably with using the "right-click" action for the color picker (by either using paint tool sai's compatible profile or by changing it manually), but no matter what I do the buttons don't want to work! Unless it's the right-click on the actual mouse, which doesn't have any problem...so I can only assume the key bindings are correct? My pen buttons work in many other programs I have, including paint tool sai itself...even as I test it right now, so it's hard to say what would be causing the problem since I'm not having an issue with it anywhere else. (unless krita doesn't like my pen lol) Even though this could be simple for me to go in and change my actual pen button to ALT or CTRL, I kind of use right-click in my workflow for other programs?? and would find it tedious to change the button every time I need to switch to something different.. so eh, I just would like to keep everything else set the way it is (because ctrl and alt do certain things in those programs and I don't want to mess with anymore shortcuts :T). Anyway, my tablet is a Turcom TS-6610 with the latest drivers since I just updated it a couple of days ago, and OS is windows 8.1 64-bit. P.S: There was one instance where I thought I got somewhere when it did sort of work, but my pen pressure was messed up and stopped working...so then I plugged my tablet back in only to find my pen pressure working...yet the shortcut wasn't anymore. :/ (and now I don't know what I did so I can't test it again lol) Thanks for the help! |

Hi,
I got the exact same problem with my brand new Huion tablet with the latest driver and Krita 3.1.2: my tablet pen's right button is correctly detected by Krita when used in its menu, but when I (tablet pen) right clic on the Canvas, Krita does not recognize it! I can configure my tablet pen with another shortcut to get the Color&Pen picker, but then I can't use the right button elsewhere because I don't have it configured on the pen anymore. This is quite anoying. As Krita can recognize the pen right clic in its menu, I am convinced it is a Krita issue. Can someone tell me how to report this bug? Thanks a lot! |

No. It is not a Krita issue. And you don't need to report a bug for Krita: that's done already: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=342105. We've contacted the Huion developers numerous times, even in Chinese... But they never got back to us. Please report the bug to Huion: http://huion.deviantart.com/journal/Pro ... -439442607
The reason the menus recognize the right-click is because the menu widget doesn't listen to the tablet as a tablet, but as a mouse. |

Looks like somehow, Krita's developers could fix it once.
From the bugs log: Comment 20 Thiébaut 2016-01-18 22:17:35 UTC Good news This bug is solved in Krita 3.0 pre-alpha (git be28b1b) Comment 21 Thiébaut 2016-03-16 21:55:20 UTC Bad news This bug is back in 3.0 alpha 3 (git de0d43d) Comment 22 Thiébaut 2016-03-16 22:03:32 UTC This seems to be somehow correlated to bug 359197 that appeared in alpha 2 and was solved in alpha 3. I'll try to provide logs in the next days. |

No, it was never fixed. At some point, this reporter's driver was completely broken, so the tablet acted as a mouse, which meant right-click worked. He then noticed that pressure was broken (of course, the driver was broken).
We know what's up, we're the developers, we've tried to contact Huion, we do know what we're doing. (Feel free to prove me wrong with a working patch, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen.) |

Ok, no problem, I did not want and my reply was not intended to upset you or the other developers.
Is it possible to get the full explanation text in order we can submit it to Huion's support? Or is my text clear enough for Huion's support? Thanks! |

Aaah, thanks for the explanations, boudewijin! I'm a bit unfamiliar with Huion, so I didn't know what types of issue's they might've tend to cause. I also apologize for not knowing about the bug report before hand (curse my searching skills), but I suppose now I'll just have to stick with a keyboard short-cut until I can invest into another tablet. c:

One trick that I've just tried is to go into Huion settings, and make sure administrator privileges are activated (I remember the option being under General/About, but I think the button disappeared after I clicked it).
