And which exact program are you talking about? Please give some more details of what you use exactly (distribution, version).

Hi! I'm having the same problem. I downloaded Krita 64-bit Installer on my laptop, and whenever I try to create a new canvas, the program stops responding and must be shut down.

I downloaded from here https://krita.org/en/download/krita-desktop/. I wonder if the problem is that I should have downloaded the 34-bit? I have Windows 8 and a Intel CORE i5.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I turned off "OpenGL", and everything's working perfectly. Thank you again for your help!

Do you still use kubuntu 14.10 and 15.10?
