I need to be able to select and modify the path of speech bubbles. I am using Krita 3.1.2. When on a vector layer, with the shape manipulation tool selected, I cannot consistently have the path editing tool appear. I have tried selecting the speech bubble and; convert to vector selection, double clicking inside and outside the bubble; convert shapes to vector selection and clicking inside and outside the bubble and every variation thereof.
The frustrating thing is that I can get it to work sometimes, but it is by trial and error and I don't know what the right steps are.

Okay, I've found a workaround. What I had been doing was duplicating the layer with the speech bubble when I wanted to add another speaker. Try as I might, I couldn't make the path editing tool visible. But if I copy and pasted the speech bubble to a new vector layer, then it was easy to make the path editing tool visible. I can't tell if my previous difficulty was due to a bug or not.

Well, we've had reports before of the paths editing tool not appearing despite the conditions being active(having a vector shape selected). Rest assured, we've fixed the issue on the SVG branch, because having conditionally appearing tools is generally a bad idea.
