So i heard about krita today and wanted to give it a try,but when i just launch it just stops working,im using windows7 64bit nvidia gtx 660 gpu


i installed krita-3.1.2.1-x64 btw

Please try to install the zip file + debug information: https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger and https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger to get a good, usable crash log. A crash like this usually happens for one of two reasons: you have a broken brush installed, in which case cleaning out the resources folder helps) or some "security software" has modified the dll.

Oh, now that I think of it, I've seen someone report something similar who had installed Krita using the setup.exe but not to C:\Program Files -- I'm not sure I remember that correctly, though.

wow,installing it on c: drive fixed it,thanks for the help

I think that that must be a bug in Qt, the programming framework we use, though weirdly enough, unpacking the portable zip file on another drive than C: seems to work fine.
