So, when can I expect to get a release for svg import?

The svg import/export release will take a good while, it's related to possible bugs. We are in the process of making the alphas for this version, so that we can get bugreports.

You will have to get it yourself from the Krita.org website when it is released.

Svg import/export is uncertain at the moment. I kind of would like to test that whenever it is possible, and I'll help on testing bugs with it. And, about the wording, that's not my intention, and I'm not going to address that. All I wanted to know at the time is the progress in development of Krita.
