Hi --

I'm a professional animator and I'm looking for suggestions on Cintiq alternatives for use with Krita. Plain and simply, what is your idea of the best make and model for the task? The only caveat is that it has to work at least *reasonably* well with Krita.

Thanks.

Wacom is expensive and the drivers are not very good -- I have to reset the configuration settings on my mobile studio pro about every other time I want to use it -- but it's still better than the alternatives. The Yiynova tablet monitors are being used by professionals with Krita for their day job, so they are perfectly usable, but they might not suit you: they are heavy and relatively low-res.

Thanks for your answer, Boud. Yes, the Cintiq is even more expensive now than ever. Kernel drive support could be much better, too. The price is has reahced insulting levels, though.

Are there any serious misgivings about the Huion GT220? Seems to have kernel support, but I hve no information on how well it works with Krita on Linux. Can't find much out there.

The GT220 isn't in https://docs.krita.org/List_of_Tablets_Supported -- so we don't know. Also, if you're on Linux, and there is a kernel driver, chances are good that it works, but it might need tweaking.
