Please Help. I was working on a picture for hours and then my computer crashed. When I turned it back on and tried to open the file, it said Could not open, Reason:Not a valid Krita file. When I look at it it no longer has the .kra file on it. Someone please help.

Do you have an autosave file? That is, a file with a .kra~ suffix? You might have to enable show hidden files in your file manager to see it.

Yes i have a .kra~. I have also heard that i should rename it to a .zip so I did. Then I tried to use a zip repair tool but it doesn't recognize it as a zip file.

The first thing with the kra~ is to rename it to kra, and try to open in Krita.

Then I'm afraid that there is no solution to the problem.
