When I use the freehand brush tool, my curved lines are segmented (I would upload a picture if I knew how), and takes several seconds to update. This goes away some if I draw more slowly, as if my tablet can't keep up, but I'm not sure how to check that. I've tried messing around with the program's line smoothers, without success. The program has been fairly iffy of late, freezing and the like. Could it be my computer?
I'm working on a 2011 MacBook air with a Wacom pen tablet. Please help, I love this program but I'm starting to get really frustrated. |

Hi mlattimore,
- which version of Krita are you using? - does it happens with all brushes? (I found this, in case: https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Slow_Brushes ) |

On OSX, especially on rather old systems like your macbook air, you might get an improvement if you disable opengl in krita's settings (press cmd-, to open the dialog). Apple's opengl implementation is not just limited, it is also pretty slow.
