Krita's Gradient tool does not work the same as Paint.net's.

I switched over from paint.net recently and was wondering if there is a way I can make the Gradient tool work as it did in Paint.net.
In Paint.net it showed me what it was going to do before I let go of my mouse.
With Krita, it only shows me what it did after I let go.
Was just wondering if there was a way to change this.
I made a short video showcasing how it worked in Paint.net

No, that's not possible. We used to have on-canvas preview of the gradient, but it didn't take the selection into account and we lost it eleven years ago in 2006, when we ported Krita from Qt3 to Qt4. Nobody has felt it was important enough to work on restoring it, so far.
