Hi,

I've tried to add an white color overlay to a black logo with this result:

original:
Image

with white overlay:
Image

In the krita documentation it's saying (https://docs.krita.org/Blending_Modes#Normal):
In this mode, the computer checks on the upper layer how transparent a pixel is, which colour it is, and then mixes the colour of the upper layer with the lower layer proportional to the transparency.

The smooth edges keep on being transparent but not getting the new color from overlay.. This is making the image look awful. Or am I using it wrong?

I'm using Krita Version 2.9.7 on Ubuntu 16.04.
Thanks in advance! I really like Krita for being a Photoshop replacement on Linux for me.

That might be a bug in the Layer Styles rather than anything else. Normal works... as normal as it can.

Please report a bug at bugs.kde.org with these screenshots in the attachment, then we can keep track of it :)
