How to use FFMPEG with Krita??

Tue Jul 11, 2017 12:56 am
Okay I've been trying on and off for a month to understand this, but I don't. I checked the documentation, but it's way too vague. It just says you need FFMPEG 2.6.

I have the zip and it contains so many folders and files. What exactly am I supposed to load in the FFMpeg field in the Render Animation window? An exe? A zip/rar package?? I can't find an exe in the zip I downloaded.

Better yet, can someone just upload what I need somewhere? I have no idea if I'm downloading the right thing. This is so confusing :/ I just want to enjoy Krita's animation features already.

Hi dareyt, I've found all the informations I needed on FFMPEG and Krita here:
https://docs.krita.org/Render_Animation ... Animations
Hope it helps.

Ok, I downloaded the latest build of FFMpeg and that works. Which is strange because that doc says you need specifically version 2.6. Someone should edit that because it's misleading.

Anyway it's working now and I'M HAPPY! Thank you for replying

The docs say at the least 2.6. That means 2.6 and higher. I do not see what is misleading about that?
