In project settings, defining a custom project folder path is a challenge. Check the box next this option and the path in the associated window is no longer visible. But it hasn't gone away. Type into the window, unclick the option's box and the new type-in is mixed in with the old path. The work-around is to click anywhere in the window, hit <END>, hold down <BACKSPACE> until the cursor reaches the left edge of the window, and type in the desired path. Unclick the option box, and the new pathway is visible.
If the custom project folder option is left in its default state, trying to open a clip from anywhere in the machines' drives and folders fails. Specifically, if I go to a folder containing MP4's known to be usable by VLC, trying to add a file gives an "invalid format" error and the clip is rejected. Has anyone else encountered these problems?

Uhm, you're posting this to the krita forum, I suspect you intended to use a different forum? Because krita has no project settings folder concept at all: it is a painting application
