I'm new to Krita and have been using it for the past month on my Surface Pro 4 (Windows 10). For the most part, it's running smoothly, except for the fact that the size/opacity of the brush does not change based on the pressure I apply to the stylus. I know the pressure sensitivity works for other applications on the tablet, so it must be an issue with Krita. I tried several solutions I found on the internet, such as installing a wintab and adjusting the preferences, but nothing has helped. Is anyone else having this problem?

You'd think so, but that simply isn't the case. It's an issue with the wintab driver. Krita doesn't support the native Windows Ink api for the n-trig pen, so you need to install the correct wintab driver. That can be very fiddly to install and get to work correctly. |

Huh okay. Do you know which wintab driver I need to install? Or does it vary? The one I tried without success was called "Wintab-1.0.0.18-64-bit.zip"

I've heard so many different stories... People who insist that you need the 32 bits driver, on the 64 bits windows, people who insist on the 64 bit driver. Some time ago, and I personally verified this, installing the photoshop trial made the driver work. I've got gray hairs, and if there would've been any decent documentation on supporting the pens directly for a painting app instead of handwriting recognition, I'd be off hacking...

Okay. I'll keep trying things, but at least now I know it's the driver. Thanks for your time and help!
