Offset

Mon Aug 07, 2017 10:14 am
When I use my tablet (wacom intuos small) the gap between my cursor and where it draws is huge. There's no gap if I draw with a mouse.
I've tried this
https://userbase.kde.org/Krita/Manual/F ... on_Windows

and set it to the proper resolution but it did nothing, anyone know how to fix this problem?

Hi Kai-, in case, there's an addition here (https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#How_to_ ... on_Windows)
If this didn't work, and if you have a Wacom tablet, an offset in the canvas can be caused by a faulty Wacom preference file which is not removed or replaced by reinstalling the drivers.

To fix it, use the "Wacom Tablet Preference File Utility" to clear all the preferences. This should allow Krita to detect the correct settings automatically.

(WARNING, this will reset your tablets configuration so you will need to recalibrate/reconfigure it).

Ok, I've tried that quite a few times now and set it to different things and I either have no offset but pressure is gone (which ends up with weirdly straight lines) or offset but pressure is working.. any other suggestions?

Also, have been using Krita for about 6 months now and this is the first time this has happened.

I'm having a similar problem that I will probably make a separate post about, but here are a couple things I noticed:

1) Running Krita with 1 monitor hooked to my PC without starting Krita in administrator mode makes everything work fine. (No tablet offset, and the pen pressure works.)

2) If I hook up my other additional two monitors, I will get the offset problem, but pen pressure still works.

3) If I use all three monitors and run Krita as administrator, then everything works except for pen pressure.

Maybe something in this list will help you. Otherwise here is a short YouTube fix that I found has helped some people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0T4_ksBKHTI

Good luck!

(Running Krita 3.1.4 -- Windows 10 64bit -- XP-Pen Star 03 Tablet)

The problem I have with that is
"Select the first option, the one that ends with (wintab)", the option that has wintab at the end is 3360x1080, but my monitor resolution is 1920x1080, wouldn't that mess things up more?

I think I've fixed the offset though, but I cannot get my pen pressure back..
How I fixed the offset was setting things manually, with 1920x1080 with X offset at -1440px and Y offset at 0px (though I'm not sure if it's right, it's just what the incorrect options said and I couldn't find any information on what I should set it as)
Sorry if I'm leaving out any needed information, I'm pretty hopeless with these things.
