Krita in MAC

Fri Aug 18, 2017 4:16 am
HI GUYS!
:)

I'm so excited to use this great program (KRITA). But when i open it, it has a huge lag (Brushes, Workspace, etc). I don't know what happens, for now I use medibang paint pro (another freeware program) which I also love, but I would like to explore krita in depth, as it is from photoshop to use only open source or freeware programs. I hope you can help me with some configuration of the program so you can make it functional as fast and fluid as possible.

I'll leave all my specifications:
MACBOOK PRO 13-inch, Late 2011
Intel 2,4 GHz Intel Core i5
12 gb 1333 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000 2048mb (Originally 500 mb but with a quick hack i can give more)
Software: OS X 10.9.5 (13F34)

I hope can solve this problem to start to use this awesome program. Thanks for all!

That's a fairly old system... Have you tried playing with the performance settings, enabling/disabling opengl or instant preview, checked whether the stabilizer is on and so on? Are you by any accident using a 32 bits/float channel depth?
