Reseting

Tue Aug 22, 2017 12:05 am
Dear readers
I am having a problem with my Krita. It started when I accidentally closed the layers tab and me not knowing Krita to well tries everything to get it back and ends up ruin the whole Krita page. I have tried re-downloading but it kept the layout. All I want to do know is reset everything because I believe I'm the point of no return as well as I think it would be easier to be explained to me. I should also mention that I use Krita on a mac.
Thank you

Re-downloading and reinstalling because a setting got messed up won't ever help. You can try to reset the configuration completely: https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Resetti ... figuration or go to the right-most button on the top toolbar and select the Default workspace.

Another quick way of getting your dockers back, is to right click on the panel on top where file, edit, view... are; a menu will appear with boxes with tick marks on them, just click on the docker you want (layers) to be shown (or there is the menu access: Settings / Dockers). Then move it back to where you want it and lock it with the lock icon in the top left corner of the docker. I would also suggest saving your work space once you have it in the layout you like.
I hope this makes it a little easier.
