Which file did you download exactly? If it's the zip file version, it runs in place, no need to install. And if it's the setup.exe, that _is_ the installer.

For a Linux app image right-click on it, click on 'permissions', make everything 'read and write' and also 'allow executing as program'. Then you can double-click the downloaded app image and it will run. Hope it works for you.
