Center Text?

Sun Sep 03, 2017 9:41 pm
Hi!

I am a newbie using Krita 3.2.1 running under Windows 7 Pro (64-bit).

How does one center text? The text alignment tool for centering doesn't appear to work like in other applications.

Thank you!

Hello Doctor T,

Edit: Well I just re-read your comment and discerned what it was you where asking about the align tool option for the text tool. It seems the the alignment that is used correlates to the location you clicked on the page with the text tool. So depending on where you clicked on the canvas, the adjustments will be applied to it.

An option you might try is to and the align tools to the top tool bar located under: Settings, Configure Toolbars. Select the BrushandStuff in the drop down selection. You will see a list of options in two columns. On the left side is all the available options, and the right is what you want to be shown. Drag over the align tool options to the right in the order that you would like. Apply and save it. Now you will be able to easily align the text when you have selected it from the top tool bar.

I hope this works for you.

Cheers!

Gbeart7,

Thank you for your reply.

Playing around, I found an alternative. After entering text, I clicked on the Selection Tool and used it to center the text. What do you think?
