Open File Icon Issue 3.2.1 on Win10

Mon Sep 04, 2017 1:35 pm
Hi. First time posting. :)

There is this issue which is bugging me. Some updates ago Krita stopped using the native Windows Open File dialogue (Explorer i guess) and uses its own kind of thing...
When I open/save a file, the icons of the files do not show little preview images anymore but instead I see those standart jpeg/png symbols.
By rightclicking the only two options shown are "Show hidden files" and "Create new Folder".

I am currently on Krita 3.2.1 on windows 10.

Go to settings/configure krita, select the first page, the misc tab and check "enable native file dialogs". Note that Qt's integration with native file dialogs is a bit buggy, especially when it comes to recognizing image types.
