layer from visible?

Mon Sep 25, 2017 11:43 am
I come from a Adobe Photoshop background and my workflow requires me to be able to create a layer from the currently visible pixels.
In Adobe Photoshop it would be with a keystroke (ctrl+meta+shift+e).
I couldn't find such a function in Krita.
Could someone help me with this issue?

...create a layer from the currently visible pixels.

Like Ctrl+A (select all) , Ctrl+Shift+C ( copy all visible ) , Ctrl+V ( paste ) ?

Hi ratheranonymous

There is a create a new layer from visible in Krita

Go to Layer menu > New > New Layer from Visible.

You can assign shortcut for it, currently it doesn't have any default shortcut.
