Hello, I recently downloaded Krita and am seeking to use it for animation, and I need to import a file I have been working on for some time.
When I attempted to import the file I couldn't find the file type, which is apparently a proprietary type, called .rli. I believe this will be helpful, there's a section on importing from .rli but I have no idea what half of it is talking about.. http://www.rw-designer.com/rli-specification I can save the file in a few different file types from the program this comes from, called "RealWorld Cursor Editor", but I am new to all this and have no idea what file type to work with, as I need to be able to preserve frames and layers in each, as I need to still be able to edit them. My main concern is not having to start from scratch, or not loosing data because I use the wrong file type when importing or flattening the images or something. My main questions are: What file types are compatible for multi-layering, and frames, and transparency and so on? And; How do I import a frame on it's own? I was told by someone I may just have to import frames individually, and that would be fine, but I'm not sure how to do that. If anyone can help that would be appreciated. |

This was discussed before I think? You will be able to use psd to move the layers from that program, but the specification would need someone to actually program an import filter for it in c++. You can make a wishbug for that on the bugtracker.

Thank you for the reply!
Where may I find the bugtracker? I'm not to certain how I would do that, I'm very new to this and would love a bit of direction. Also, It seems I'm unable to save the file in .psd, I even tried opening it i gimp which seemed to recognize it, but it says it's not a valid file, RWCE doesn't have the option as well. |

If someone could provide a link to help me find the wishbug thing it would be appreciated.

Hi E.D.I.E., Click the link "New" on the top menu (it's the second item from left) http://tinyurl.com/y7cxkvtc You'll need to login to KDE Bugtracking System |
