I am working on a tile set in Krita for a game. As GDquest suggested suggested in his tutorial on youtube I am using file layers. But I'm having problems to align the borders of file layers with the grid using the move tool. The snapping works for the position at which i grabbed the layer with the mouse pointer (as Krita manual describes).
To align them perfectly with the grid i need to grab the layer exactly at its corner, which is very difficult. Is there a way to snap the mouse pointer to the corner of the file layer before i actually press the left mouse button to grab it? |

This is currently not planned, but a known issue? You can however use the move tool to increment precisely.

Thanks for your answer Hedwig. In the end i did it exactly as you proposed. Although snapping for file layers is not very useful as it is.
But i understand that it is not easy even to define the right behavior for krita for this case. A possible suggestion would be to snap the borders of the layer to the grid as soon as it is grabbed instead of snapping the mouse pointer itself. |
